“I see NO reason as to why I SHOULDN’T, Jotaro.” He narrowed his eyes at his grandson. Slightly suspicious of him. Though, the young one seemed to have kept his usual stoic demeanor, which was hard to read at times, of course. But there was a certain glint in his eyes that seemed to be troubled. The old man simply couldn’t fathom as to why.
Though, Joseph simply resorted to the impression that Jotaro wanted to be star of this little family tradition. So he reached out and pinched at the man’s cheek, revealing a toothy grin.
“Ahhh–!! Jotaro!!! Who would’ve known that you would get so jealous of Josuke?!”
Jotaro wants to refrain from stating his reasons why simply because it’s appalling to even remember, and on top of that he wants to spare his young uncle the embarrassment. Something like this would probably only hinder the budding father-son bond between Joseph and Josuke, and he wants no part in that since he really only wants to see them grow closer. They deserve it, he thinks.
He quickly pulls away from the contact, not one used to it or even fond of it, especially when it’s meant to be teasing like this. If he was younger, he might’ve yelled, but for now he grits his teeth, biting back a more rude response.
“Not even close. Just,” Jotaro pauses, thinking of a quick excuse. “McDonald’s is unhealthy. Do you really want your only son to grow used to eating that shit so young?”
