“I know it sounds ridiculous, but it’s true. Things are always this strange. Is the previous existence of a 100+ year old vampire really that shocking to you?” Jotaro asks with a quirked brow, honest to God shocked that Rohan’s the one in disbelief. He supposes there is a way he can prove it, but he’s not entirely sure he trusts the mangaka to read about Dio and only Dio if Jotaro gave him the chance to read him.

“Do you need to read me to confirm it? I have no reason to lie about this.”

greatestmangaka whispered:

□: Least favorite shape

He doesn’t really have a favorite or least favorite. It’s honestly not something he deems important and would spend much of any time thinking about.

│🍒│  Noriaki gazed up at him, worried. He knew he couldn’t do much other than soothe Jotaro’s nerves, but anything he could do he wanted to do. Jotaro and the others were all very important friends to him, and he wanted to do anything he could to help.

He softly exhaled, withdrawing his hand and tucking it into his lap. ❝…We’re fighting for a good cause. In the long run, we’ll have saved more lives, and that’s what’s important, right? We’re all willing to risk our lives; but we’re not weak. I think we can make it, Jotaro. We just have to try and fight hard, together.❞ He offered another smile, knowing his hope was probably foolish, but it was better to be optimistic, right?

He gazed up as they approached the hotel, sitting up. ❝We’re here. Do you want me to come to your room and talk with you at all?❞

Kakyoin’s words, though probably overly optimistic, are much appreciated by Jotaro. Those feelings of worry don’t exactly fade entirely, but he does feel just the slightest bit reassured, even if only for a little while. He’s not taking on this fight alone, after all. He has his allies, his friends, who are willing to risk just as much as he is.

He’s not sure he can even express how grateful he is.

“Sure, but we should talk about something else,” Jotaro adjusts his hat once again, in that same way he tends to do whenever he’s pulling in, tucking away his feelings and expression to show that he doesn’t wish to dwell on the topic much longer. He already shared what he was feeling anyway, so there was no use in repeating it. It’d just make him more stressed. “Why don’t you tell me a funny story? You’re good with those.”

redlips-blooddrops:

“Beats me, I wonder the same as well …” She  said giving small shrug of her shoulders. In world of gangsters, criminals things were never clear that much she learned over the years. Then again she was no saint either no?

“But I’m guessing its going to be fun~” snickering she took a look and wrist watch she wore, it was 5 pm already there was no time to waste. “I’ll take my leave for now….. See you in a bit dear Mr. Kujo~” she said in such playful tone that would move most men, still she doubts she had the same effect on him. With that she turned on her heels and left him alone in street while she was already making preparations on the phone.

Thankfully, and by some insane stroke of luck, Jotaro managed to be ready in time. He’s still not looking forward to such an event, but it is the perfect opportunity so he isn’t exactly about to complain. This was a part of his job, after all, and he’d gotten into far worse situations in the past anyway. This was fairly tame apart from the whole stepping right into the potential enemy’s territory and snooping around. At least he’s not totally at it alone, he thinks, and with the town’s criminals hanging around he was bound to pick up on something, anything, that’d let him return to his marine biology work sooner. He sure did miss that. It was a totally stress free occupation that mostly called for field work at the beach. That was something he handled with ease since it was his passion. This… This was just something he did because no one else could.

And even if there were others (he thinks of Polnareff in Europe), he knows he’s the most suited for it given his Stand’s powers.

He’s kind of unlucky in that sense.

Not wanting to waste any time, Jotaro is already waiting outside by 8:50. It’s a little early but he’s positive no one will bother him and they could leave as soon as Lilith arrives… If she even arrives. He’s still not very trusting of her because he’s pretty sure he knows what her occupation is, and in that field of work he knows at the end of the day that money is what talks. So, he’s on edge as usual. Star Platinum’s ready to work at the speed of a bullet should anything come up.

“Good evening,” he begins, nodding towards Lilith. He reaches up to adjust his hat in realizing he wasn’t wearing it since it didn’t exactly suit formal attire. No wonder he’d felt even more uncomfortable. Not only did this suit feel stuffy and he had to attend a party, but his signature hat was left in his room. “Are we walking or driving?”

“I can agree with you. Though as we advance we need to find a way to rat them out. What if direct confrontation isn’t part of their particular style?” He observed the coin, furrowing his brows. He would then look past the people that walked by. There was a large fountain up ahead that a young couple would approach. Dropping their coin and making a wish.

“Hm. By any means, let’s not loiter here any longer.” He said, making his way towards the fountain. A small flick of his thumb caused the coin he once held, splash into the water. However, as the droplets of water sprung out; it contacted to the bare skin of his forearm. “AH–!”

It STUNG and sizzled against him. It SEEPED into him to plague the Young Joestar. It seems like he somehow lost sensation of his arm. It felt numb. and static. Smeering the substance off would do him no good since its effect had already commenced.

“J-Jotaro–!” He blurted as his fingers curled up to form fist. The sparks of Hamon layered around as he swiftly turned and took a swing at his grandson. It wasn’t his own doing. He swears!

Despite his initial shock Jotaro is thankful for Joseph crying out as he alerted him just in the nick of time, allowing him to dodge the stray swing. It’s obvious to him right away that some outside force is controlling Joseph. It must be the person that stole his wallet. An enemy Stand. He really couldn’t catch a break for just one day, could he?

“Yare yare daze…” he mutters, readjusting the hat atop his head. He figures trying to fight Joseph will likely be futile since the enemy can just keep this up until one of them gets hurt. Aside from that, he’s not sure how this Stand’s powers work. It’s clearly probably remote, but will it take control of Jotaro too if he touches Joseph. Joseph did touch the coins and fall under the enemy’s control shortly after…

He’ll have to avoid every blow thrown at him while trying to find this enemy. But there’s so many people that he doesn’t know how long this will take.

“Joseph,” he calls out, maintaining his distance and keeping Star Platinum by his side just in case. “What did you do right before you lost control of your body’s movements?”

redlips-blooddrops:

A brief snicker could be heard from lady’s lips, content with his reply. After all one had to keep their job reputation high, if she was to fail this well there would be a lot of unnecessary explanation to be don. And she truly was not type of person who liked explaining herself to anyone.

His question though, caused her brow to rise ever so slightly, just barely noticeable.  Giving soft sigh she pulled out the cigar from her lips, gently throwing it down on ground and stomping it with her boot. “Stand?  What in world is that? Sounds like a name of terrible band!” she said with chuckle staring at him barely showing any sort of emotions in her eyes. It was all an act….never was wise to trust someone like her too much.

Somehow, that reaction isn’t very convincing. He briefly considers calling out Star Platinum to check for any sort of reaction, but decides against it. This woman seems like a good actress and liar. Knowing her, even if she could see his Stand, she’d probably act like it’s nothing. He could try attacking her with it, too, but he doesn’t want to risk burning this bridge just yet.

“Good guess, but no. Nevermind that. It’s not important,” he says, attention briefly brought to the cigar she’d just crushed. It makes him thinking of smoking, and briefly Jotaro remembers that now more than ever he wishes he hadn’t kicked that habit. He could really use a cigarette. “9 o’clock, then? Why so late?”

Hearing his well wishes and the sentiment for her to have fun causes a large beam to paint her features. It was…nice. NORMAL even. And that was something that brought even more joy to her heart. Those simple words were a small step in making their relationship better- normal even.

But then comes his stern, no nonsense tone and the words that follow. It’s annoying how much her emotions have changed within the last hour. A brow is quirked, yet Jolyne doesn’t look over at him till the vehicle is perfectly parked. There’s an eyeroll as well, though it’s hidden (thankfully) behind her shades.

Talk? What was there to talk about? Was she free? She recalls the gang wanting to go out driving tomorrow night. But for the day she is.

“Yeah I am.” she replies, taking the keys out of the ignition to return to him. “And define talk. Is this a discussion or are you gonna talk at me?”

Part of her is expecting some sort of lecture (possibly involving her past deeds). There’s really no subject she can think of for him to give her a serious talk about unless…

“If you’re gonna give me the birds and the bees talk, it’s way too late for that kind of talk. I know well enough how procreation works.”

“No, no, it’s definitely not about that,” Jotaro quickly dismisses her question. He almost wants to laugh at that conclusion Jolyne’s jumped to, but what he’s talking about is actually something more serious. That, and the realization that he probably should’ve been there to help her mother explain the birds and the bees stuff to her a few years back. Oh well. He can’t spend much time dwelling on what should’ve been.

“I want to explain a few things to you. I figure it’d help clear some stuff up. Maybe.” That’s all he has to say for now, not wanting to let that topic hang over them for too long, especially since the car finally stopped at their destination. He’s not sure what to expect or even enjoy about looking at a bunch of other people’s cars, but if this is what his daughter enjoys… He’s just glad it isn’t something like dragging him along to buy clothes or watch movies.

Jotaro steps out and waits for Joylne to guide him along. He already sees a lot of people, no doubt chatting about what they’ve seen or perhaps bragging about their own cars. The thought makes him take an amused glance at his, a few years old and probably in need of some repairs. He never cared much for how is car looked, but he supposed perhaps this excursion would help him gain a new appreciation. Maybe he could learn a thing or two about them from his daughter, too.

“Is there something in particular you enjoy about cars?”

redlips-blooddrops:

Giving small shake of her head she took out her cigar, letting the thick  smoke roll down her lips as she stares up at sky for brief moment before speaking up again. “I’ll come to your hotel  around 9 pm, be ready by the time understood ? “ she asked with bit sharp look in her eyes yet that smug smirk never left her fair features.

Pulling out her cell phone she dialed the number and soon began talking to someone in French, now he did not have to know everything did he ? Hanging up the call she bit on her lower lip, she was bit eager to get this party started. “Not sure about you but  a fair warning , get in my way and I will not hold back from  hurting you as well ~”

Jotaro affirms their meeting time with a nod. Nine at night? That’s a little late, especially since Jotaro considers himself an early riser. Ah well. It’s not like he hasn’t stayed up late into the night before. He thinks briefly of Egypt, but that stings in a way he doesn’t want to dwell on, so his thoughts quickly shift to his college days and later work on his thesis in Morioh.

“I’m just here to to my job. I won’t bother you,” Jotaro says, leaving out the bit about ‘unless it requires interfering with your work’, but he’s sure that goes unsaid anyway. He wants to scoff, too, because he seriously doubts she can cause him much harm. While he doesn’t doubt her physical capabilities in fighting (she seems the type), Jotaro is not the average person—not even the average Stand User. He supposes he’s lucky, but then again, he’d much rather have a simpler life without worrying about enemy Stands and whack-jobs causing chaos. However, given what he’s learned about Stand Users in his travels, Jotaro really can’t help but wonder…

“Lilith, do you happen to know what a Stand is?”
